We made a quick trip to Nauvoo this past weekend to see G&G Middleton before they head home from their mission. It was so good to see them but it did make us a bit more homesick for California and family. The kids had so much fun playing with G&G that I could have stayed longer just to watch them all be together. Thanks for the fun memories Grandma and Grandpa!

I'm so glad you got to take the trip. I wanted to so bad but adjusting to my 3 and such a long drive was a bit much for me to handle. Hopefully I'll get to see them around Thanksgiving.

A quick trip is more than we would like, it takes 5-6 hours to get there. At least it is something we can do in a weekend!
Looks like you guys have been having fun! We can't believe how big Alyssa is getting - she looks the same in one way though - always happy! You commented about the weather there - when we went to Vegas it actually was cold in California. We have been getting some rain - so the temperatures were in the low 60's during the day and then mid 40's at night - kind of cold for mid-October.
Your grandparents look great and what a nice treat to visit them. It brings back fun memories to see them. I think I should work on my food storage this weekend ;-)!
