Gingerbread Houses

We decorated gingerbread houses. Bryson was very focused on what the gingerbread man would like and his size. He made a bed inside and even wrote him a note to let him know that he made this house for him to keep. Kaitlyn made round trees with tootsie roll leaves and made little candy people inside. Kevin wanted to use his creative powers too and made a church with stain glass windows!

Santa

The kids got to visit Santa at our ward Christmas party. Alyssa thought he was great until we sat her on his lap but then she was smiling again when she got her bag of candy and orange.

We then went to Purdue to eat breakfast with Santa. Alyssa liked him as long as mom stayed right there too.

Purdue also had some fun crafts for the kids to do.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Kaitlyn

I love this time of year and Christmas programs. Kaitlyn had her dance recital and her preschool Christmas program!

We love her teachers, Teacher Karen and Teacher Julie. They are fabulous!

Chicago

We had Kariana for over 2 weeks and are missing her like crazy. I loved life with a full time nanny and maid. The kids thought it was party time all day long. One of the days we took Kariana to Chicago. She took the kids to a children's museum while Kevin and I went to the temple. One of the kids' favorite things was the do-your-own face painting. Unfortunetly for Kariana that meant having cute face paint in all the Chicago photos!

Kariana wasn't feeling well and still was a great sport. I guess she will have to come visit again so we can take her to Chicago again:)

Thanksgiving

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving. We loved having Kariana, Brody, and Jimmy here. The Galbraiths also joined us for the food and games! Kariana made the cute turkeys for each plate and filled them with candy.

Philadelphia

Kevin had a conference in Philadelphia last weekend and I was able to go with him. We had a fabulous time!

This is the room where they wrote the Constitution.

Thanks to my sister Kariana for taking care of the kids and spoiling them (and us).

Girls in Chicago

Catie and I had a girls weekend away to Chicago and had SO MUCH FUN!!!

We got a hotel right in downtown and were on the 27th floor with a great view!

The highlight of the weekend was "Wicked". I had seen it before with Kevin but this was Catie's first time. We loved it and are ready to go again:)

We went to this amazing restaurant right in Millenium Park. It is the same one from Lakehouse with Sandra Bullock, where they are suppose to meet. The food was absolutely incredible!

The last thing we did before heading to the airport was get a Chicago Style Pizza - it was as delicious as they say claim it is!!!

Thanks Kevin and Steve for being the best dads and husbands and giving us this chance to spend 3 days catching up:)

Jedi, Ballerina, and Fairy

We had a warm Halloween which made it a great night! All three kids had a great time trick or treating. Bryson didn't want to stop and even did an extra street with Kevin while Kaitlyn stayed home and had fun handing out candy.

I never could take my eye off of Alyssa. She was determined to go to every house with the kids. As her plastic pumpkin began to get heavy I tried to help her carry it but she wouldn't even let me touch it. When we got home, she was screaching at Kevin when he showed her how to dump it out on the floor. She then decided dumping it was the fun activity and would dump the candy out, throw them around the room giggling the whole time, and then pick them all up. She never once even asked to eat one. I love this age!!!

Bryson designed his jack-o-latern all on his own. Kevin helped him cut out the details but he had drawn it out. He said all the added parts were the "decorations."
