My kids grew up

I was just looking through Christmas pictures and I kept thinking about each of the kids and how grown up they are looking!

I love this video of Alyssa coloring. When she is intently writing or coloring she will crouch low - it makes me laugh. Also you can hear her say "Yeah" which is her favorite word. It is so much more pleasant than no - I wish she would teach all toddlers yeah instead of no. She also has really started talking and it is fun to hear her 3 to 4 word sentences but my favorite is her new word, "Hey". She will be sitting at the table writing and will say it to Bryson or Kaitlyn because they are playing with one of her toys or something. "Hey" - it sounds pretty funny from the mouth of a little one!

What is cold

It is funny how perspectives can change with the weather. Last week the kids had 2 days of school cancelled because it was too cold. One of those mornings when we got up it was -15. We were glad there was no school cause we loved that we could just hide inside and didn't have to leave. It has been a bit warmer and yesterday it was 26 so when Bryson got home from school him and Alyssa went outside and played on the slide and in the snow. It almost felt felt like spring yet when I thought of the temperature I couldn't believe that this is now what we think of as warm!

Gingerbread Houses

We decorated gingerbread houses. Bryson was very focused on what the gingerbread man would like and his size. He made a bed inside and even wrote him a note to let him know that he made this house for him to keep. Kaitlyn made round trees with tootsie roll leaves and made little candy people inside. Kevin wanted to use his creative powers too and made a church with stain glass windows!

Santa

The kids got to visit Santa at our ward Christmas party. Alyssa thought he was great until we sat her on his lap but then she was smiling again when she got her bag of candy and orange.

We then went to Purdue to eat breakfast with Santa. Alyssa liked him as long as mom stayed right there too.

Purdue also had some fun crafts for the kids to do.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Kaitlyn

I love this time of year and Christmas programs. Kaitlyn had her dance recital and her preschool Christmas program!

We love her teachers, Teacher Karen and Teacher Julie. They are fabulous!

Chicago

We had Kariana for over 2 weeks and are missing her like crazy. I loved life with a full time nanny and maid. The kids thought it was party time all day long. One of the days we took Kariana to Chicago. She took the kids to a children's museum while Kevin and I went to the temple. One of the kids' favorite things was the do-your-own face painting. Unfortunetly for Kariana that meant having cute face paint in all the Chicago photos!

Kariana wasn't feeling well and still was a great sport. I guess she will have to come visit again so we can take her to Chicago again:)

Thanksgiving

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving. We loved having Kariana, Brody, and Jimmy here. The Galbraiths also joined us for the food and games! Kariana made the cute turkeys for each plate and filled them with candy.
